Tahbilk Marsaine

Description

The Tahbilk story began in 1860 with the founding of the Estate and original vineyards. Purchased by my great grandfather Reginald Purbrick in 1925, five generations of my family have been actively involved in Tahbilk bringing a tradition of pride, hard work and a love of good wine to our unique heritage of being the oldest family owned winery and vineyard in Victoria.

The 2016 Marsanne was first planted on the Estate in the 1860s Tahbilk has the largest single holding of this unique varietal worldwide along with vines dating back to 1927 that are amongst the oldest in the world. Showing its Estate pedigree, 2016 Marsanne has distinguishing lemon/lime citrus notes on the nose and palate alongside floral and herbal hints all wrapped in a zesty minerality. Time in the bottle will deliver the rich honeysuckle and toasty/marmalade characters that are so familiar to aged Marsannes.
