Description

Camelo D'Aquino had a vision, to produce wine for the people of Orange. This dream was realised in 1946, when in a tin shed, he produced six barrels of wine, becoming the first wine making family of Orange. Today Highland Heritage Estate stands in testament to his efforts and takes pride of place at the gateway of the region.

The Orange Wine Region of NSW is famous for producing some of the best cool climate Suavignon Blanc wine in Australia. This wine, pale straw in colour with youthful green tints, the bouquet explodes with grassy, asparagus and elegant distinctive Sauvignon Blanc characteristics.

The intense herbaceous fruit dominates on the palate, the flavour is mouth filling and presents a long and lingering finish with clean crisp acidity typical premium cold climate white wine.

While extremely enjoyable now, this wine will gain further complexity and depth of flavour over the next 4-5 years. The Mt Canobolas Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc has a reputation of aging and developing in the bottle.

This full bodied wine would be an ideal aperitif or serve with its perfect food partner, steamed asparagus and fine cuisine such as white meat or seafood.
