Bethany Old Vine Grenache

Description

The 2012 vintage was a difficult one in the Barossa. However, we have crafted a wine that we hope will enjoy as much as we did, even though it is somewhat different to our traditional Schrapel Family Grenache style. Ripe cherry and spice characters abound on both nose and the flavoursome palate. The mouth feel is soft and the finish dry with excellent natural acid balance. It will go well with most Asian food - we found it absolutely delightful with pork spare ribs and honey orange sauce, accompanied by stir-fried bok choy.
